Tableeghi Ijtima ends

LAHORE The four-day long Tableeghi Ijtima at Raiwind concluded after special prayers to seek forgiveness from Almighty Allah and for the solution of hardships being faced by the believers in the world and salvation in the world hereinafter. The prayer, which lasted for an hour, was offered by an eminent religious leader of India Maulana Zubair-ul-Hassan, as tears rolled out from the eyes of the hundred of thousands of the participants who showed their humbleness to God Almighty. They accepted their responsibility for the turmoil and turbulence rampant around the globe, saying they had drifted away from righteousness and the true path suggested by Almighty Allah. However, they reiterated their pledge to follow the teachings of Islam and remain obedient to the Creator in their future life and also to fight against the forces of evil and the wrongdoings and support the pious and the rightful forces. They also vowed to serve the religion and join the Tableeghi missions all over the world for propagating Islam, the religion of peace. The participants further prayed for Islams supremacy and unity among the Muslims, Islamic brotherhood, tolerance and love besides promotion of Islamic values and also an end to sectarianism. Meanwhile, over 500 teams were formulated on the concluding day which proceeded on their Tableeghi mission at home and abroad for a period ranging from three days to three months. Every team was comprised three to dozens of participants led by their respective ameers (chiefs). All the teams will not only devote time but also arrange their travelling food and lodging expenditure during the tours. The congregation also witnessed hundreds of foreigners both from the Muslim and non-Muslim countries, who stayed at Raiwind for four days along with their Pakistani brethrens. Earlier, in his special sermon after Fajr prayers, Maulana Khurshid Ahmed urged the Muslim Ummah to follow the basic principles of Islam and mould their lives in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Quran and Sunnah. He further stressed upon the Muslims to shun evildoings in their short life bestowed in the world and act following the role model life of the last prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). In the second session of the day, Maulana Haji Abdul Wahab gave special directives to the Tableeghi teams, urging them to penetrate among the people peacefully. You should treat people generously, attract their attention while talking in a soft tone and make them realise that your mission is to purify their belief and faith from devils thoughts, he said. Wahab made the teams members realise that they were set to accomplish a noble task, which was awarded only to the Muslims by the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Later, in third and final session, Maulana Zubair-ul-Hassan, the chief of Indian Tableeghi Jamaat, led the concluding prayer in which dozens of leading politicians, bureaucrats and clergymen participated and sought forgiveness from Allah Almighty. O God, we have detracted from the right path and the turbulences of this world have gripped us in its tyrannical clutches. Now, pour Your blessings upon us and again show us the right path, he said. Meanwhile, the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Mohammad Aslam Tareen and DIG Operations Rao Sardar Ali Khan congratulated the police personnel, who arranged special security arrangements and ensured safety of the participants of the congregation. Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) SSP Syed Ahmed Mobin also appreciated traffic wardens for their performance. They issued special directives to the officials to maintain law and order during the second phase of the congregation, which is scheduled from December 9 to 12.
