RAWALPINDI Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that PPP leaders were visiting Lal Haveli to negotiate with Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on by-elections of NA-55 to defeat the PML-N candidate. He asked PPP Co-Chairman and President Asif Ali Zardari not to hatch conspiracies against PML-N to field any of his male or female candidates, if he has to contest by-elections of NA-55 and check his partys worth in this constituency. He asked the AML President Sheikh Rashid Ahmed to come down from talk shows of TV channels and see the real scenario. He was addressing PML-N Workers Convention held on Wednesday at the residence of partys Joint Secretary Punjab Chaudhry Tanveer Ali Khan at Chaklala Scheme III. The convention was also addressed by PML-N MNAs Anjum Aqeel Khan, Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Hanif Abbasi, Malik Abrar Ahmed, MPAs Sheryar Riaz, Malik Yasir Raza, Zia Ullah Shah, Chaudhry Sarfarz Afzal, Chaudhry Muhammad Ayaz, candidate for NA-55 Malik Shakil Awan, former MPA Sardar Nasim and attended by local office bearers and a large number of workers (male and female). A brawl also occurred between office bearers of PML-N students organisations and other leadership in the struggle to occupy the stage, where Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan was about to address the gathering. However, later Chaudhry Tanveer Ali Khan intervened and solved the matter. He said that though PML-N ousted a dictator former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf from Presidency after 8 years of hard struggle yet the new President of Pakistan was not far away from Musharraf, he added. He said that Zardari was not a man of honour and always broke promises. He said that Pakistan is facing troubles due to wrong policies of President Zardari and his team. He claimed that the decisions about Pakistan were being taken in Washington instead of Islamabad, adding that the PPP-led Government had bent before the enemies of the country. The poor masses have been deprived even from two times a day meal by the PPP-led Government. He said that PML-N would bring a silent revolution in Pakistan. Today, we are kicking off the electioneering campaign of PML-N candidate for NA-55 Malik Shakil Awan in Rawalpindi city. I hope people of this constituency will elect PML-N candidate while keeping in mind the best record of Nawaz League he said. He said that N-league has totally changed its policy and in future only committed workers would be promoted in general elections. He said that people of Rawalpindi would favour PML-N instead of Zardaris PPP or PTI of Imran Khan in NA-55 by elections. Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly said that if nation made PML-N successful then the new system would be brought to the country. He said that to award ticket to Malik Shakil Awan was the decision of party leadership and workers should present their performance by winning this seat (NA-55) by 60,000 lead. Nisar announced that he would himself monitor the electioneering campaign on daily basis and no one would be honored or promoted in party on the basis of slogans, but the work in field would be realised. He said that the workers made the parties and their leaders stronger and no any leader has values without the support of the workers. Charged workers, while holding party flags and portraits of their leaders, kept raising slogans in favor of their PML-N Quaid Mian Nawaz Shairf and Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Shehbaz Sharif during the speech of Chaudhry Nisar. MNA Hanif Abbasi said that PML-N was committed to providing the masses with basic facilities. He said that PML-N would bury the politics based on lie and hypocrisy forever in by-elections of NA-55 by defeating those who do politics on the name of poor. He said that PML-N would launch door-to-door electioneering campaign to beg votes for its candidate. He reminded that Punjab government had launched many development projects in the city by spending billion of rupees and people of Rawalpindi would elect candidate of PML-N, he hoped. Abbasi said that masses had rejected those who paid nothing to them while sitting in assemblies. He appealed to the residents of NA-55 to vote for PML-N candidate Malik Shakeel Awan. Malik Shakil Awan, while addressing, thanked the party Quaid for awarding him a ticket to contest by-election of NA-55 adding that he would serve the residents of his constituency after wining the election. He said that Mian Nawaz Sharif is a great leader of international repute and has potential to steer the country out from the ongoing crises like terrorism, electricity and gas load shedding, and price hike. The other MNAs, MPAs and local leadership also addressed the convention and said that PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif is only the leader who could guide the nation well.
