SADIQABAD (INP) Seven members of a family were killed due to old enmity in a house located in Ilyas Colony of Degree College area here on Tuesday. According to police, some unidentified men entered the house of Rana Muhammad and slaughtered seven members of a family with sharp-edged weapons due to old enmity. The attackers locked the door of the house and managed to flee from the scene after the killings. The deceased identified as family head Rana Muhammad, his wife Shagufta Bibi, his two daughters Rukhsana and Lubna and three sons Ahmed Hassan, Javed Hassan and Ameer Hassan. Local people informed City Police Station Sadiqabad about the incident when they felt smell of bodies from the house. Police shifted the bodies to hospital for post-mortem. Police handed over bodies to heirs after autopsy. According to initial report, the family members were killed three days ago. Police said that the incident may be the outcome of an old enmity and started search for culprits. Police have collected evidences from the local people about the incident.
