Holbrooke, Mullen meet Indian officials

Senior US diplomat Richard Holbrook held regional security talks with Indian officials on Wednesday after visiting neighbouring Pakistan and Afghanistan to discuss new anti-terrorism strategies. Holbrooke, the US envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan, and Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, met with India's Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon in New Delhi. Holbrooke, who will hold a press conference later Wednesday, told reporters in Islamabad that the US had no plans to negotiate between India and Pakistan.
