Gas pipelines blown up

QUETTA - A gas pipeline has been blown up near Mach town, some 60 kilometres away from the provincial capital, on Monday night. According to sources, unidentified persons had planted explosive device with a gas pipeline that went off with huge explosion badly damaging the pipeline and suspending gas supply to the town. In another incident, a gas pipeline on western bypass area of the provincial capital was blown up on the night between Sunday and Monday, said police.Unidentified attackers had placed explosives under the pipeline that exploded with a big bang, causing partial damage to the pipeline. However, gas supply to area was not suspended. Meanwhile, another explosive device placed outside a house in Mach town exploded and rocked the area. However, no loss of life was reported. The police started investigation after reaching blast site.
