A 4.8 magnitude earthquake jolted Gilgit and its surrounding areas on Wednesday morning. The Metrological Department said the earthquake was also felt in Mansehra, Balakot, Batgram, Ghazar and other areas. The epicenter of the quake lay 270 kilometers north east of Peshawar.
