The Accountability Court of Lahore has extended the physical remand of Hamesh Khan, prime accused in Bank of Punjab (BoP) fraud case, for another fourteen days. According to media reports, Hamesh Khan was presented before the court under strict security arrangements. The AC directed NAB to present Hamesh Khan on June 23 after fourteen days physical remand. Lawyer of Hamesh Khan, Barrister Mehmood while talking to media said that the remand of his client has been stretched to five weeks but NAB, so far is unable to provide evidence that could prove him (Hamesh) guilty. He said that the Accountability Court was informed that the Supreme Court allowed lawyers to meet Hamesh Khan but the NAB officials present during the meeting and now wanted notes of conversation between Hamesh Khan and his lawyers.
