45 suspects captured amid Hangu search operations

Police claimed arresting as many as 45 suspects including 18 wanted criminals in the middle of separate search operations in Hangu district and seized illegal weaponry from their possession, police sources reported on Tuesday. According to DPO Hangu Sajjad Khan, especial search operations were carried out across Hangu district during last two days to maintain the law and order situation and to discourage incidents relating to sectarian violence. Police allegedly linked arrested suspects to Taliban while 18 among 45 were wanted in many cases including murder charges, attempt of murder charges, rape charges and others. Sources said police claimed seizing 15 Kalashnikovs, 12 rifles, 22 pistols, bullets and drugs from their possession. Police have finalized foolproof security plans for stepping up maintenance of law and order situation in Hangu district, added DPO.
