In occupied Kashmir, veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has said that the attack on him by Indian troops in Srinagar, yesterday, was aimed at his assassination. Talking to the delegations, which met him at Humhama police station, today, the veteran leader emphasised that he was saved by the youth who threw themselves over him at the time of attack. Syed Ali Gilani pointed out that India wanted to eliminate him from the scene as he was leading Kashmiris towards securing their right to self-determination. He vowed to continue his struggle despite ominous threats to his life.
