Pirzada, two other ambassadors sacked

ISLAMABAD (Online) - Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has sacked three ambassadors at large including Sharif-ud-Din Pirzada, Hamid Asghar Kudwai and Ehsan Ullah Khan with immediate effect. These appointments were made by former President Pervez Musharraf. This was stated in a press release issued here Wednesday from Prime Minister Secretariat. PM Gilani has dismissed from service three ambassadors at large including Sharif-ud-Din Pirzada, Hamid Asghar Kudwai and Ehsan Ullah Khan who were appointed by former president Pervez Musharraf and directives in this regard have been issued to the foreign office. They were given the status of federal minister. Sources said Sharif-ud-Din Pirzada was working as ambassador at large since 1996 and the government was facing severe criticism due to his appointment. The PM Secretariat has notified these dismissals.
