PESHAWAR PML-Ns lawmakers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Friday accused PML (Q) of killing the people in Abbottabad over the issue of renaming of the province, while PML(Q) held Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) responsible for the carnage, but both called for an exemplary punishment to the responsible elements. The special budget session was held here with Speaker Kiramatullah Khan was in the chair. While expressing grave concern over the killings of peace-loving citizens on April 12, the enraged PML-Nawaz legislatures accused PML-Quaid and held it responsible not only for killings of the people but also for destruction to the public property. PML-Ns Munawar Khan called upon the government to make public the judicial committees report on the incident. It would help the countrymen to know as to who financed the bloodshed, and why they destroyed peaceful atmosphere in Abbottabad and for what purpose they did so, he added. Another PML (N)s legislature Javed Abbasi deplored the government for not convening a special session on the situation in Hazara Division. It would have been better if the session of the Assembly was called on which could help people to know the truth. Advocating the demand of Hazara Province, he said it was the right of the people to demand the separate province but they should follow constitutional means for the purpose. He was of the view that outsiders had entered Hazara to ruin the situation under a pre-planned conspiracy. And, it was now the responsibility of the government to unveil the hidden hands forthwith. Holding PML-Q leaders including Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain responsible for instigating the people, he said it was for that reason he specially had visited Hazara. His remarks, infuriated PML (Q)s Deputy Parliamentary Leader Nighat Orakzai, who protested against it. On the occasion, Speaker Kiramatullah Khan asked the lawmakers to be polite and use parliamentary language while expressing their views. Besides, he also suggested Nighat Orakzai to wait for her turn. On her turn, Nighat Orakzai also called for making the committees report public so as the people could know the real players behind the resentful acts of killing the people. However, she held MQM responsible for the carnage saying its leader had directed its workers from abroad. The ANPs MPAs repeatedly reminded Nighat Orakzai that NWFP was not the name of the province but she insisted that she would call it NWFP instead of Pakhtunkhwa. While, she also suggested for adopting a united stance on the issue instead of accusing each other on the carnage in Abbottabad.
