Deposed judges could be re-instated by executive order: Aitzaz

Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) president, Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan has said that neither 30 days nor 12 days were required for the re-instatement of deposed judges, as it needed one executive order from the prime minister, which should have been issued in tandem with the announcement of setting the judges free. Talking to newsmen outside the Supreme Court, he said that the churning of conspiracies would speed up so long the government kept beating back. He said that conspiracies against democracy were being hatched from the presidency. He further said that it was an injustice to the Pakistan people's mandate. Terming the deadlock on judges' issue a matter of the allied parties, he lamented that the May 12 deadline has also passed away and the judges could not be re-instated. Aitzaz Ahsan said that the decision relating to the line of action of the lawyers movement would be taken in the all Pakistan representative convention slated May 17 in Lahore.
