Flood rises above danger level at Manchar Lake

Manchhar Lake rose up to 118 feet just short of two feet short from its maximum capacity, a private TV reported Monday. Situation is getting worse as in and out of flood water became unbalanced due to huge pressure with water pouring from different canals. A state of emergency has been announced at the Lake with senior officers from the Irrigation Department stationed to inspect it. Temporary protective embankment rose to save Mehar city the inundation, is withstanding water with a level of 6 feet odd, alarmed citizens and administration began to raise the height of the bund.
