ISLAMABAD (APP) - Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Babar Awan on Wednesday told the National Assembly that a Rawalpindi-based lawyer Nadeem Shah had been arrested along with a colonel Shahid Shabbir under the espionage charges. They are in legal custody under the spying charges and being further interrogated, the minister informed the House while giving details of the reportedly missing advocate. The minister clarified that the arrested persons were in the custody of Pakistan army and not in the custody of any agency. He said Nadeem Shah, an ex-service man of the Pakistan Air Force, was arrested along with his ex course-mate in PAF and a serving army officer Colonel Shahid Shabbir on April 30. He said both the accused were being interrogated by Pak armys set up for investigation and other matters. Babar Awan said he had talked to City Police Officer Rawalpindi on the issue who would submit a report in writing on Thursday, which would be presented before the august House.
