No leader present in the meeting was available for his comments, but the PML-N Spokesman Pervaiz Rashid informed journalists that Pakistani politics was not a part of the agenda but various matters pertaining to national and regional security came under discussion. Pervaiz, however, refused to elaborate what does the security matters mean and claimed, Nawaz Sharif is the most important political leader of the region, and in this context, all the matters related to regional security were discussed. Quoting a renowned analyst, the BBC says that after the King Abdullahs meetings with both Gen (r) Pervez Musharraf and Nawaz Sharif, it seems that the chances of treason trial are becoming more and more remote. Talking to a private TV channel after the meeting, Ishaq Dar said the Saudi King has not made any demands regarding Pervez Musharrafs trial. He said Saudi Arabia never interferes in the internal issues of Pakistan.
