Zardari leaves Dubai hospital

LAHORE All medical tests of President Zardari were clear and he was discharged from the hospital in Dubai on Wednesday. Doctors have advised him rest at home for some days and continue medication. However, friends are advising the president to go either to US or UK till he fully recovers. The president had undergone heart treatment some years ago. His condition deteriorated recently mainly because of the ongoing tense situation. Knowledgeable sources say that President Zardari will not be able to participate in the 4th death anniversary of his wife Benazir Bhutto at Garhi Khuda Bux on December 27, where all party leaders are supposed to be present. A meeting of the partys central executive committee is also held those days to review the situation and take appropriate decisions. The president is expected to address the participants by phone, possibly from abroad. In his absence, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will preside over the gathering. Sources say that the presidents movement in Dubai and his meetings with various people are being monitored by those linked to the security of the country. Reports that Pakistan High Commissioner to London Wajid Shamsul Hasan did not participate in the envoys conference in Islamabad for the fear of being arrested are being denied by party sources. According to one leader, Mr Hasan did not come to Islamabad because he was asked to make arrangements for the presidents likely stay in UK after his treatment in Dubai.
