Khosa offers olive branch to N

LAHORE-Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa and Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Friday made a renewed offer of cooperation to PML-N to start a new chapter of mutual cooperation in Punjab province. Talking to media after the two met at Governors House, both PPP leaders showed their willingness to improve law and order situation in the province in collaboration with Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif whom they called an able man working hard for betterment of the people. 'From my side, the process of reconciliation in Punjab has been started, the Governor said, adding, that his party wanted to make Pakistan, especially Punjab a bastion of peace and he would like to work with Punjab government to address the issues facing the people. He said he would soon be meeting PML-N Quaid Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif after his return from Naudero to extend a hand of cooperation from PPP side. Khosa said his party wanted to take all political parties on board on national issues. Rehman Malik showered praises on Shahbaz Sharif while appreciating his good work in Punjab. He hoped that working relationship between Governor and Punjab government will improve with the presence of Latif Khosa in the Governors House. He believed that new Governors pleasant personality will help a lot to cultivate friendly relations with the PML-N leaders in Punjab. He was confident that from now onwards, there would be no reports of confrontation between the PPP and PML-N from Punjab. Replying to a question, Rehman Malik said that inquiry into Salmaan Taseers murder case was complete, and if a judicial inquiry was desirable it could also be conducted. He said enemy wanted to break the country by 'setting us against each other. To a question, he said if government could talk to the enemies why it could not do the same with the Ulema.
