KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement today decided to register cases against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan for his anti-military statements.
Regarding the issue, MQM has started the process of registering FIRs against Khan at various police stations across the country. According to our sources, workers were also told to register cases against Defence Minister Khawaja Asif.
Both parties moved resolutions against one another in the Sindh Assembly.
MQM moved a resolution against Imran Khan in the Sindh Assembly, which calls for Khan to be de-seated from the National Assembly on grounds of disrespectful comments against Pakistani Army officers.
Similarly, the PTI resolution asks the Sindh government to approach the centre against recent statements made by Altaf Hussain. They also demanded Hussain’s British citizenship to be revoked to facilitate his trial in Pakistan.
