In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that the Kashmir dispute can be resolved through tripartite talks amongst Pakistan, India and the genuine Kashmiri leadership. According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a media interview in Srinagar said that the APHC always maintained that the dispute over Kashmir could not be settled through bilateral efforts. He strongly reacted to the recent assertion of the interlocutors appointed by India that the roadmap for Kashmir settlement would be framed in next six to nine months. The APHC Chairman termed the statement as an attempt by India to delay the resolution of the lingering dispute. "What roadmap they can achieve in nine months when the road map has already been provided by us in the shape of four points," he said adding that acceptance of these points would put an end to India's denial of the Kashmir movement.
