No official info about visit of Kasab's mother: Pranab

Indian External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee has clarified that there is no information officially about any visit to India by the mother of Ajmal Kasab. "I have officially clarified that there has been no no official confirmation about any of his relatives coming to India to meet him," Mr. Mukherjee told reporters here this evening after inaugurating his Website. Mr. Mukherjee had earlier said that his comment on Tuesday night about Kasab's mother coming to India was based on a newspaper report. Kasab is currently lodged in a high security central prison in Arthur road in Mumbai. Commenting on a statement by Pakistani authorities that the information provided by India to them on Kasab was not sufficient, he said, "Their assessment might be that the material given to them is not sufficient. But he has been arrested and he has made a statement to the magistrate. The process of law will be followed." "We have provided all the materials which were lying with us. If it is not sufficient then I cannot comment on that," he said. Mr. Mukherjee's bi-lingual Website, which he earlier inaugurated, was reportedly modelled on that of U.S. President Barack Obama. In the Website, www.pranabmukherjee.in, one can put questions directly to the senior Congress leader and he would answer them personally after the polls. "Because of the election, I might not be personally answering them but my colleagues will collect the answers from me and post the replies. Once the polls are over, I will be able to answer the question personally," he said.
