Pak-Afghan clash leaves soldier dead

ANGOOR ADDA (Online) - A security personnel lost his life while 11 others were wounded during a clash between Pakistani military and Afghan National Army at Pak-Afghan border in South Waziristan region on Saturday. According to the military sources, the clash erupted at that time when Pakistani Army personnel asked Afghan National Army troops to stay in their area and also signalled them not to cross their limits at Angoor Adda area of South Waziristan Agency. The troops of Afghan National Army instead of staying in their area opened fire on Pakistani troops. As a result, one Pakistani soldier was killed while 11 other soldiers sustained serious injuries. The troops of Pakistan Army retaliated and there was report about damages to troops of Afghan National Army while details in this respect are being assembled, sources said. Pakistan would not only raise the issue before high-level authorities but also before the tripartite commission so that such incident could not happen in future, the sources added.
