At least six militants were killed and one hideout destroyed in security forces shelling here in Mohmand Agency on Friday while one security man died in a landmine blast. According to details, security forces on early Friday morning shelled the suspected hideouts of extremists in Mamonzai area of Upper Orakzai with heavy artillery fire. One hideout was destroyed in the shelling resultantly killing six extremists. The security forces also continued forward movement in other areas of the troubled agency to clear it from militants. It should be mentioned that more that 350 extremists have been killed and dozens of hideouts destroyed during security forces action in Upper Orakzai Agency during recent weeks. Meanwhile, a Jawan was killed in landmine blast in Khadazai area during routine patrol.
