Two children were killed and another sustained wounds in a landmine blast here in Ghallanai on Monday. Local sources said that incident took place in Qandharo area of tehsil Safi of Mohmand Agency where three children while playing by roadside touched a landmine which went off with huge explosion. As a result of blast two children were killed on the spot while another sustained injuries. The bodies and injured child were shifted to local hospital. Sources said that the landmine was improvised to target security forces which were due to pass there but the children became victim. The security forces cordoned of the area after the landmine blast and started search operation but no arrests could be made.
