The UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon says the United Nations is in the process of formulating an appropriate response to meet the needs of over five million flood victims in Pakistan. Responding to a question at a press conference in New York, he said he had already discussed with President Asif Ali Zardari the grave situation created by torrential rains. He pledged that the United Nations would provide whatever was possible to help Pakistan in dealing with the calamity. The UN Secretary General said that a high level UN team which visited flood hit areas had submitted him a report and we are now outlined a course of action to mitigate the suffering of affectees.
