Gas pipeline blown up in Dera Bugti

QUETTA - Militants on Saturday blew up a 24-inch diameter gas pipeline near Pirkoh gas field. According to Levies Force sources, miscreants planted explosive device along the pipeline supplying gas to the Pirkoh purification plant in Dera Bugti and exploded it, suspending gas supply to the plant. According to sources, the supply would be resorted in couple of days as the repair work had been started. Meanwhile, the security forces have launched a search operation for the miscreants and have increased their presence to ward off such incidents in the future. Meanwhile, unidentified persons set on fire an oil tanker supplying fuel to NATO forces in Afghanistan, on Saturday. According to the Levies officials, unidentified persons set fire to the tanker when the driver parked it beside the road and went away. The fire fully incinerated the vehicle and the fuel worth millions of rupees. Levies authorities have registered a case.
