Punjab government has decided to end two weekly holidays from 1st August. Sources said that provincial government has issued notifications in this regard to all concerned departments and now all institutions would follow the one weekly holiday policy as it was two months before. It is learnt that when federal government had decided for two weekly holidays under the 'energy conservation plan', then Chief Minister Punjab did not like that idea, however, he followed the directions of the centre. But now this energy crises has likely to be solved and Punjab government has ended weekly two holidays across the province.
