Twenty students drowned when a boat capsized in the Lower Bari Doaab canal on Monday. Fifty students of Government College of Technology, Sahiwal, were going to college on a boat when it capsized. The local administration reached the scene and started a rescue operation. The bodies of 20 students were fished out by divers, rescue sources said. Later, students of the college blocked the GT Road for six hours against the incident.
