CJ directs Punjab IGP to recover abducted girl

ISLAMABAD (APP) - Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Monday directed the Inspector General of Police, Punjab, to ensure recovery of an abducted girl and produce her before the District and Sessions Judge, Rahimyar Khan for recording her statement. He issued a directive on a suo moto notice taken on an application of Muhammad Nawaz, resident of Rahimyar Khan, in which he had stated that her daughter was kidnapped by some persons. He lodged an FIR against them but so far her daughter had not been recovered. Similarly, the Chief Justice on an another application of Ghulam Yasin, a resident of District Multan, directed the Provincial Police Officer Punjab to recover his son and produce him before the District and Sessions Judge. He was also directed to submit report with the apex Court within 15 days.
