The ongoing power crisis has intensified with 12 to 18 hours of load-shedding in Peshawar and other districts of NWFP.
The worst hit areas in Peshawar include Saddar Nothia, Gunj, Warsak Road and University Road, paralyzing the normal life of the residents.
About 12 to 15 hours of power cuts are being observed in urban areas, whereas, the duration has stretched to more than 18 hours in rural parts.
The frequent power outage has triggered the acute shortage of water also in several areas which has aggravated the problems.
Besides, business community is also adversely suffering from the ongoing power crisis.
In addition to Peshawar, prolonged load-shedding is being observed in Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshehra and other districts of the province.
