Ahsan Iqbal pays no heed to PTI’s rally

LAHORE- Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal, today held out assurance to PAT chief Tahirul Qadri of his concerns regarding the team inquiring Model Town tragedy.

Qadri returned to Pakistan from Canada and rejected government’s investigation regarding the firing incident in Lahore. “We welcome Tahirul Qadri at home. If he has some reservation over the formation of investigation team, we are ready to address it. Action will be taken against those involved in the incident,” Iqbal told journalists in Lahore after a ceremony.

Replying to a question about Imran Khan’s November 30 rally in Islamabad, he said, “Khan must give up the politics of sit-ins and raise public issues in the Parliament.”

Ahsan Iqbal said political stability is imperative to steer the country out of crisis.
