Rangers appointed for CJ's security

ISLAMABAD - Taking serious notice of police negligence that resulted into the accident of Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhrys motorcade early this month, the Interior Ministry has suspended Deputy Superintendent of Traffic Police Fida Satti and Inspector Asif. According to a press statement issued by Interior Ministry, Interior Minister Rehman Malik has also issued suspension and arrest orders of Motor Transport In Charge, driver and other staff for negligence in their duties. Interior Minister Rehman Malik has also directed the authorities concerned to beef up security of Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and provide additional Rangers staff to him. He asked the authorities to arrest those found involved in the negligence of that sensitive duty. He further warned that no lapse in that regard would be tolerated in future.
