ISLAMABAD - As the PPP has almost succeeded to win back MQM in the government after certain assurances to remove their reservations and in this regard the Muttahida is most likely to be awarded the same old ministries at Centre. Their previous ministries port and shipping and overseas Pakistanis would again be given to the MNAs of MQM on their return, MQM sources shared with TheNation. Before leaving the coalition government at the Centre, Muttahida was having port and shipping and overseas Pakistanis ministries. The sources further said that resignations of MQM ministers had also not been accepted yet. MQM had decided to sit on opposition benches apparently in protest against the postponement of elections on two Karachi seats of AJK Legislative Assembly (LA). In order to bring back erstwhile coalition partner, the sources said, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has ensured them removing their reservations including announcement of local bodies election schedule soon after Eid-ul-Fitr. The sources said that MQM had almost decided to rejoin government but it could take a bit time, as worsening situation in Karachi seemed a main hurdle in this regard. Peace in Karachi is our top most priority as after this other matters would be resolved, said an MQM leader hinting to rejoin government in near future.
