ISLAMABAD - The security forces have killed six terrorists and apprehended 17 others in Swat-Malakand region and South Waziristan Agency, says an ISPR press release issued here on Monday. According to details, security forces in South Waziristan killed three terrorists and apprehended three others. The press release said that terrorists fired with small arms at security forces check-post near Janata, which was effectively responded. In Shakai sector, terrorists engaged security forces positions at Pungai near Ladha from South West of Narakai and cleared terrorists compounds while two terrorists were killed and three were apprehended. While in Razmak sector, terrorists fired at security forces check-post near Mana and Pash Ziarat that was effectively responded. The security forces also conducted search and clearance operation at Kam Narakai near Makeen and Nawazkot. They cleared 40 compounds and recovered huge cache of arms and explosives. A total of 26,585 Cash Cards have been issued to displaced families of Waziristan as relief measures. Meanwhile, in Swat and Malakand, four terrorists were killed in an encounter near Totakan. The security forces conducted search and clearance operation at Bara Banda near Kanju, Ghuzkas, Sarbala near Tutan Banda, and Guljabba near Kabbal and apprehended 14 suspects. The security forces conducted search operation in Tetai near Fatehpur, Mera Mai near Bar Durushkhela, Sarsanai, and Mingora, and recovered cache of arms and ammunitions.
