Interior Minister Rehman Malik said on Monday that there is no top leadership of Taliban in Quetta, adding that the government will take immediate action, if proofs are provided. Talking to the media persons after visiting CID building Rehman Malik said that the present government had decided to curb the menace of corruption from the country. "President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani support this cause." Malik appealed people and other organizations to support the government as corruption could be eliminated. Speaking about the arrest of NICP Chairman, the Minister said that if he does not surrender himself then strict action would be taken against him according to the law. Earlier Federal Minister paid a surprise visit to Karachi Federal Investigation Authority's (FIA) Passport Office after receiving complaints from the Karachites. The Minister also expressed anger over the absence of Deputy Director in his office. As per the Media Reports, the interior Minister visited the FIA Passport Cell, Crime Cell and Anti-human Trafficking Cell. Talking to the criminals who were being locked behind the bars, he inquired from them as why they have been arrested and in which crimes they have been involved. In FIA's Crime Cell those who are being locked up they are unregistered agents, having fake passports and deportees.
