At least 32 people have lost their lives and nine sustained injuries when a passenger bus collided with an oil tanker, police said on Sunday.
According to District Police Officer (DPO) Jamshoro Doctor Farooq, the passenger bus was going to Sukkur from Karachi.
Police said that the head-on collision between bus and oil tanker took place at Super Highway near Nooriabad, an area between Karachi and Hyderabad.
The incident occurred when the driver lost control of the bus and hit an oil tanker from the back side.
As a result, 32 people have been killed and several others injured, senior police official Mohammad Farooq said.
Both the vehicles caught fire after collision.
More than 50 passengers including women and children were travelling out of which 20 injured passengers have been taken out from the bus.
Ten more people who were injured were taken to a local hospital.
Governor Sindh Doctor Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan has taken notice of the accident.
Police registered case and started investigation.
