No compromise on national issues: Basit

Spokesman of Foreign Office (FO) Abdul Basit on Thursday underlined that no compromise would be tolerated on national interests. Talking to private TV channel here on Thursday Abdul Basit said that Pakistan would not compromise on national interests and that he is optimistic about positive outcome of the debate on Foreign Secretary level over the issues between both the countries. He said that disputes between Pakistan and India including water issue are linked with Kashmir dispute and if Kashmir dispute would resolve then all issues would resolve on its it own. He expressed desire that that all issues between India and Pakistan should be resolved amicably. He said that Pakistan gives importance to Kashmir issue and expresses hope that India would also adopt positive behavior in this regard. He said that during the meeting he would inform Indian leadership about Kasmir leadership's stance and would raise issue regarding Indian meddling in Balochistan.
