QUETTA - Militants blew up two gas pipelines in Dera Bugti on Sunday, while a house was also attacked with a hand grenade in Mastung town. According to the reports reaching here, unknown persons had planted explosive devices under the 24-inch diameter pipelines supplying gas to the main purification plant in Sui, which exploded and damaged pipelines suspending the supply to purification plant. Sarbaaz Baloch, claiming to be the spokesman of the defunct Baloch Republican Army has claimed responsibility for blowing up the two pipelines. On the other hand, unidentified miscreants riding a motorbike hurled a hand grenade at a house in Mastung town some 40 kilometres from the provincial capital on Sunday night. The grenade landed inside the house and went off with huge explosion smashing windowpanes of the house. However, no casualty was reported in the blast. Meanwhile, Khuzdar police defused a bomb planted in the Civil Colony. Police sources say they had received information about a bomb planted in the area on which the bomb disposal squad was immediate called for defusing the bomb.
