Supreme Court Justice Sardar Raza Khan has taken oath as Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan here on Thursday. Justice Faqir Muhammad Khokhar administered him the oath at a ceremony held in Supreme Court building today. Talking to media after oath-taking ceremony, Justice Sardar Raza Khan said he is missing deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. Justice Raza Khan took oath as acting CJ as Chief Justice Abdul Hamid Dogar has left for Saudi Arabia to offer Umrah. Justice Sardar Raza Khan was among the judges who were deposed by former president on November 3, 2007. He was recently reappointed in the Supreme Court. Talking to media in a light mood, the acting chief justice said he has not taken the oath to remove judiciary but to offer his responsibilities as acting CJ. He said it was difficult to stay away from providing justice for the last ten months.
