Pressure mounting on India to settle Kashmir: Mirwaiz

In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has urged the people to continue the peaceful struggle till its logical end. According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC Chairman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that international and domestic pressure was mounting on India to stop the oppression in the occupied territory and find a peaceful solution to the dispute through dialogue. "With each day the pressure on Indian government to accept the reality and find a peaceful and lasting solution to the Kashmir dispute through dialogue with Kashmiris and Pakistan is growing. We must carry on our peaceful struggle with the belief that our unparalleled sacrifices will not go waste," he said. The Mirwaiz castigated the occupation authorities for using harsh curfew and other restrictions to punish and break the resolve of Kashmiri people. He pointed out that Killings, curfews and use of brute force could not suppress Kashmiris' just struggle for right to self-determination. He also condemned the curbs imposed by the authorities on Friday prayers at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar and other major mosques in the Valley. Meanwhile, an APHC spokesman in a statement in Srinagar denounced the house arrest of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi.
