Five more bodies of missing persons recovered

QUETTA - Five more bullet-riddled bodies of missing persons were recovered from Khuzdar and Kech districts of Balochistan on Monday. According to police sources, on a tip-off that three dead bodies were lying in Zidee area of Khuzdar, police rushed to the site and moved the bodies to a hospital for postmortem. The sources said chits were also recovered from the pockets of victims bearing their names. They were identified as Muhammad Ayub, Muhammad Hafiz and Murtaza Zehri. Some unidentified people had kidnapped victims few days ago from Khuzdar area and threw their bodies after killing them, the sources added. Hospital sources said the victims were shot in their heads that caused their instant dead while torture marks were also present on their bodies suggesting they were tortured before being shot dead. One of the victims Murtaza Zehri was stated to be a worker of the Baloch Republican Party. A large number of people including relatives of the victims rushed to the hospital. A complete shutter down strike was observed in Khuzdar following the recovery of bodies on the call given by the Baloch Students Organisation (BSO-Azad). However, no untoward incident occurred during the strike. In another incident, two bullet-riddled bodies were found in Turbat area of Kech district. Getting some secret information, police rushed towards Padark area of Turbat and shifted the dead bodies to a local hospital where they were identified as Zarif Baloch and Shamim Baloch. Sources said both the victims were workers of the Baloch National Movement (BNM) and residents of Kech district who were allegedly abducted by government agencies few days back from Kech district. The sources said both the victims were hit bullets in their heads and chests while signs of torture were also apparent on their bodies. The relatives of all five victims accused government agencies and security forces for the brutal killing of their beloveds. A shutter down strike was also observed in Kech district against the killing of Baloch missing persons as shopkeepers brought all business activities to a standstill. Meanwhile, Chairman Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) Nasrullah Baloch has appealed the United Nations and humanitarian organisations for taking immediate notice of killing of missing persons in Balochistan allegedly in the custody of govt agencies.
