The security forces operation continued in Makeen and Ladha areas of South Waziristan tribal region as the jet fighters targeted militant positions in the region. According to a private TV, the forces have also targeted the hideouts of Baitullah Mehsud with artillery shelling but no casualties confirmed in the attack at the mountainous region, which is considered safe haven of Mehsud and other militants.
