The security forces have arrested a terrorist commander wanted for the 2005 kidnapping and murder of six Chinese engineers, after a gun battle on night between Friday and Saturday in the border town of Chaman. "We have arrested a Baloch Liberation Army commander Haji Murad Khan after a chase and a gunfight and seized explosives, wireless sets, Indian and Afghan currency from him," said Commandant Frontier Corps (FC) Pasheen Colonel Asad Shahzad while talking to media men here on Saturday. Haji Murad Khan, along with two others, was intercepted when he was entering into Pakistan from Afghanistan in a car. Two others fled after firing, but Khan was arrested," Shahzad said. The Government, he said, had offered a bounty of 3 million rupees for his arrest. During the investigation, Col. Asad said, militant commander Haji Murad Khan has confessed murder of six Chinese engineers in Hub in 2005. The militant was arrested with Pakistani, Afghan and Indian currency, explosives and drugs from Pak- Afghan border, he added.
