Four hurt in grenade attack in Quetta

QUETTA - Four people including three children sustained injuries in hand grenade attack in Quetta on Sunday night while a house also came under grenade attack in Kharan. According to police, unidentified people riding a motorbike lobbed a hand grenade at a house in Kili Sardarabad of Sariab area on the outskirts of Quetta. The grenade landed in the street with huge explosion, causing injuries to four people, including three children who were standing nearby the house. The injured were rushed to the Civil Hospital Quetta for medical aid. Dr Jaffar told this scribe that condition of the injured was out of danger and they were being provided medical treatment. They injured were identified as Din Muhammad, 4, Waseem, 5, Ismail, and Matlob. Soon after the incident, police and other personnel of law enforcement agencies rushed to the site and cordoned off the area. In another similar incident, unidentified people hurled a hand grenade on a house owned by Mutalib Mullazai in Kharan town. The incident occurred nearby a Levies police station. The grenade landed inside the house with a big bang, however, no loss of life was reported in the blast. Police have registered cases of both the incidents and started further investigation.
