ORAKZAI/KURRAM - In separate incidents, 25 militants were killed and three tribesmen sustained injuries in clashes between forces and militants in Orakzai and Kurram Agencies on Thursday. Elsewhere, a security personal was killed in landmine blast in Mohmand Agency. Security forces while using heavy artillery hit three hideouts of militants in Khadezai and Mamozai area of Orakzai Agency as a result 15 militants were killed and three of their suspected hideouts were destroyed. Apart from, security forces launched a search operation against the militants in Gheljo, Kandi Kali and Takhshak localities, in which, a huge cache of arms and land mines were recovered. Meanwhile, at least nine militants were killed and three tribesmen got injured during clashes between militants and tribesmen at central Kurram Agency. The injured tribesmen were rushed to a nearby hospital. Similarly, as many as three persons were killed at Dapa locality of Orakzai Agency, when unknown armed persons opened indiscriminate fire at them. The three persons died on the spot while the killers escaped well. In another happening, one Pir Madar, resident of district Shangle died and his companion Bakht Munir sustained injuries when a blast occurred owing to filling of gas in a mine situated at Dholi area of lower tehsil of Orakzai Agency. In Mohmand Agency, a security personnel was killed and five others wounded when a landmine exploded in Alingar area at Safi tehsil of the agency. While in another happening, a rural health center was exploded with explosives at Danda area in Baizai tehsil of the agency. The centre was completely destroyed; however, no casualty was reported in the happening.
