Suicide bombers trainer arrested

PESHAWAR - The security forces have consolidated their positions in Kokarai and Kail areas of Swat and Buner districts respectively after targeting the militants suspected hideouts with gunship helicopters and jet fighters, sources revealed on Sunday. As per sources, the security forces also targeted militants suspected hideouts in Maniarai and Gookand areas of Buner and inflicted heavy losses on Taliban militants. It is important to mention here that militants in this area had closed Kalil-Gookand route being used by the IDPs in returning to their homes. The IDPs had demanded of the government to speed up the operation to reopen the route. Meanwhile, dozen of shops and houses of suspected militants have been demolished in Mingora. Moreover, some unknown robbers entered dozens of houses in Mingora city and looted the valuables. The local people have demanded of the government to deploy more police personnel in the area. APP adds: During the last 24 hours, security forces have apprehended three terrorists including a suicide bomber trainer and recovered a prepared suicide car and a rickshaw in Swat, while one Non-Commissioned Officer embraced shahadat in South Waziristan Agency, an update issued by ISPR on Sunday said. According to the update, security forces cleared area around Kokarai and successfully established link up at Jambil, while apprehended local terrorist commanders Akbar and Saleem and a suicide bomber trainer Abdul Rehman. A prepared suicide car and rickshaw were also recovered from Kokarai. On a tip from locals, security forces recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition including IEDs from a graveyard in Garai, 4 km north east of Shamozai. Security forces secured areas around Khazana, Zarra Khela, Gamkot, Chalera, Rangeela, Shah Dheri - Maira Band and Garai and started search operation in surrounding areas of Mangalton. Security forces carried out search operation at Bala Sar, Chuprial and Bartana and recovered three 12-Bore guns and three 30-Bore pistols. In South Waziristan Agnecy, security forces conducted road-opening operations on Wana-Khamrang Road while terrorists training centres and hideouts including arms and ammunition dumps at Ladha, Makeen and Sararogha were targeted. Terrorists fire raided on Tanai Fort, resultantly one Non-Commissioned Officer embraced shahadat. Meanwhile, the relief and restoration services work is continuing in various parts of Malakand and Swat. The details revealed that one truck carrying water dispenser units was dispatched for IDPs at Dera Ismail Khan while 16 trucks of rations and non-food items dispatched for IDPs at Bannu. Other 10 trucks of ration and non-food items distributed amongst the IDPs at Palko Deri, Hathian, Sherghar, Mohabbatabad, Hoti Mardan, Jamal Garthi, Mardan Rural and Charsada. The services like electricity, landlines and mobile phones and natural gas supply to maximum areas have been functional in Buner and Swat. So far 50,511 cards have been distributed amongst the IDPs of Malakand Division, while Rs 500,655 million have been drawn by the IDPs.
