INDIA on Friday favoured a 'measured contact with Pakistan but ruled out the resumption of the composite dialogue at this stage. Reacting to Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilanis suggestion for the resumption of dialogue, highly-placed sources in New Delhi said the atmosphere is not conducive for restarting talks as Pakistan needs to pay 'serious attention in addressing Indias concerns over terrorism emanating from its soil, reported Press Trust of India (PTI). However, indicating slight movement towards a thaw, the sources said no relationship can be 'static and there could be some 'measured contact between India and Pakistan. We are not ruling out such communication, they said indicating the possibility of contact between the foreign ministers and foreign secretaries of the two countries. Some contact will take place but to take things really forward, we have to have a conducive atmosphere, they said. There has to be lot of de-clogging that needs to be done after the Mumbai attacks....atmosphere is not conducive..., the sources said.
