Met office issues flood alerts in rivers of Punjab

ISLAMABAD- Met Office has issued alert with reference to flood in the rivers of Punjab including Chenab, Ravi and Sutlej.

Chief Meteorologist Muhammad Riaz Khan said a monsoon rain spell is entering from India and moving towards eastern parts of Punjab. It is expected to cause high wind and rain.

He further said such weather can cause deluge in the rivers inside India. The areas of Sialkot, Gujranwala, Wazir Abad, Mandi Baha ud Din and low lying areas of Punjab are likely to be affected in the event of advent of flood.
