Rawalpindi- Government of Punjab has extended the contract of 149 nurses in the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC) for three years
The contract of these nurses had expired three months before and hospital management had sent their case for further extension to government of Punjab. This was put on hold and the payment of salaries was also ceased. Following the issuance of orders for extension, the concerned quarters have started making arrangements for the payment of outstanding dues to these nurses. The sources said that the nurses whose performance is found satisfactory will be regularized and the contract of the nurses showing poor performance will be cancelled.
