Shah Zaib aims to participate in Olympics

LAHORE - Shah Zaib, who won the Lahore Division Boxing Event of the Punjab Youth Festival, has expressed the determination to represent Pakistan in the Olympics after showing performance at the national level. Shah Zaib, trained by coach Mehmood Butt, said here on Monday that he wanted to be a boxer since his childhood and to fulfill his ambition, he began his journey by participating in the local events. He said that he was the winner of Faisalabad Division Boxing Event last year and it was the first step towards his success. “The person behind my success is my coach Mehmood Butt who trained me well enough to earn gold medal in Lahore Division competitions.” He requested the Punjab CM Mian Shahbaz Sharif to hold the boxing events at grassroots level for hunting young talent. –Staff Reporter
