LAHORE - Saqib Khan Khakwani slammed superb six goals to help HW Couture beat Dawood Group 7-6½ in main final to lift Diamond Paints Polo Cup 2014 title here at the Lahore Polo Club ground on Sunday. Saqib was the hero of the day as he played superb polo and kept on scoring goals in all the chukkers except the first one. Usman Haye was the player who contributed one goal in his team’s total. For the losers, who had one and half goal handicap advantage, Shah Shamyl Alam hit three goals while Omar Asjad Malhi and Abdullah Dawood had one goal each.  Pakistan commerce minister Khurram Dastgir Khan was chief guest at the final and distributed prized among the winners.  In the subsidary final, Diamond Paints outpaced Wi-Tribe Shahsawars by 7½- 3. Atif Yar Tiwana hammered three goals while Mir Shoaib Ahmad and Mir Huzaifa Ahmad contributed two goals each for the winners.
